Avoid waxing if you:

  • Have been using Retin-A/Ro-Accutane products in the last 6 months
  • Are using anti-aging or skin thinning products – AHA’s etc
    (This only applies to facial waxing)
  • Are sunburnt or have been exposed to UV rays within the last 24 hours
  • Are Diabetic
  • Are allergic to essential oils

Avoid the following for 24/48 hours after waxing:

  • Hot baths/showers
  • Tight clothing
  • Exercise/Anything that will cause you to perspire
  • Heat treatments or UV exposure (including Sauna)
  • Body lotions/Fake tan

Ingrown Hairs

Ingrown hairs are a condition whereby the hair curls back or grows sideways into the skin. Common symptoms include red spots, itchy skin, whiteheads (pustules) and localised inflammation, which can sometimes be painful.
